I like Chilton. If I was a bit more mechanically inclined I would really figure out how to fix the broken things on my vehicles. I looked at the wiring diagrams and it did not pull up the PDF picture. I thought that might be because it was on an old car that I looked up. This is a informative tool that could help out people who art jack of all trade types.

So after getting help in the webolution class room setting I finished this. It was very tricky with how the term was worded. E-book reader. It is in Dec. 2010 for the wonderful review. I would buy a color nook. I don't like to rely completely on reviews just because that is the way I am. I look at what they say and think, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok. I don't like listening to critics much. I digress.
I will finish later....

For Smartphones I found best fit from Jan 2011. I find Consumer reports to be cumbersome in searches. I found best Aps, but after reading other blogs I saw more "best" info. I really wish the search for was more user friendly. I have spoke with you, Cari of this before.

It is a little late to do the extra credit. I will not cheat.

The mere title cracks me up, reminds me of the Transformers! I definitely found it informative and very helpful. This will help many people, I think it is a great guide on how to create your broadcast/cover letter and resume. I wouldn't add activities to my resume, but that is just me. Hopefully we can help inform people of this valuable tool. I know that I will be informing people.

Well I have to say I agree the dude on the video had a creeper voice for sure. No pump up the volume for him. I think this will be interesting to see if it is useful. I may try it off and on, and suggest it downstairs when it is necessary. I like that you can take out the pictures. I tend to think pdf's are very user friendly. Half the time they don't print properly, if at all. Thanks for this little tool.

This is very cool. I can see where it could help so many people. I like that it tells you how long the test takes to complete. I like the resume feature, too. I will suggest this for Police exams because that is a common question I get.

Well that was just about the easiest task ever. Hmm I hope I don't pay for that comment later. I don't, however want to read on my PC, so it would never behoove me. I don't foresee buying a kindle, but time will tell. I downloaded a vampire book and found it kinda cool, just not into this technology right now. This comes from an anti-cell phone person :P

Well those are some interesting blogs you both have posted...I will check out the make use of one often, thx Cari. I recently discovered playlist.com and I really like it for music. You can have 200 songs and choose from basically any artist that is on there to add to your queue.

Mesa Cty Site, well I found my house on the assessor page and it reminded me of how high my taxes are- ouch! Anyways, it was cool to see the old picture they had on there too. I think they have tons of info on this page, from noxious weed control to where to report a pot-hole. I would have to sift through this page a while to find everything, but it does give department separation which was helpful.

State of Colorado page has tons of info too. I use this to renew my license plates and will use it to renew my license, thank gosh for this! I hate to do this junk in person for sure! I mapped sex offenders and woohoo-there are not any in my area currently. I like the web traffic cams--haha like we have traffic here. I do like the layout of their website.

I checked out the community directory, which is very informative. However, by the time I remember to use it, I would have probably found out the info on google. That happens to me a lot.
Whew, I didn't think I would like this task, but I actually really did. Hmmm, I always do that, end up liking things I didn't think I would. Epiphany I say.

The promo section isn't an area I have actually checked out before, so yes helpful, but this should never take the place of inter-personal communication is what I saying.

I checked out the the information about job postings in all the different states--I like to look at the what the job market in each state is demanding for pay rates. I am a business major and like to look at those types of stats. I checked out the CLIC website and did a brush-up on on info I had not see in awhile.

Open source seems quite user friendly. I am not sure why you would want all that background jazz in the forefront. It seems close enough to word that I can understand it without reading faq's which is nice. I wasn't sure how friendly it would be if you don't have open source and want to view this. That would be my biggest concern.

So far.......Net Library not helpful. I had to install new media center which is fine, but then I had to update windows media player, ok 25 minutes later. I just did all that to find out there isn't anything ipod compatible for me to bother with. EH! So I will go on to overdrive, to be cont....Success, on overdrive. I found a C.S. Lewis 4 part book to download and put on my Ipod touch, it worked marvelously. I shall try this again, I transferred it through the overdrive transfer.

OK, I liked this sound effect thingy. I looked up scary Halloween sounds, because that is my favorite holiday! I can really be myself...hah. I looked up animal sounds, I am not sure what we could use this for on the website, however. It could be used on halloween in children's. I have found in the past when I try to use Novelist it is not the most helpful tool for me. I like the Kent Library District series help. I find that very helpful and the more readers tab for read a-likes. Thanks for all the new info.

CC was interesting. I didn't know that such a thing existed. I like that there is something like this out there, but it doesn't really spark my interests. I looked up some music, but it is not the kind I like. I think it is great for artsy people. NIN shares, nice! Your actions and behaviors, as well as your words, affect customer interactions--good motto. It basically says treat others like you would want to be treated. I think it is good to remind people of this often, due to every day stress. Difficult patrons can mess w/your day sometimes, but I try not to take it personal--but oh am I human. The other info regarding ohio new staff, seemed informative, but a lot for a new person to take in at.

Well I have had this for a while too. I checked out coke on fb and am a fan of MCPLD fb page, too. I don't like to mix politics w/work, so I am glad there were other choices. I think it is another medium that is taking over w/the instant gratification that our society demands. I don't mind these things, but I still like the old fashioned way too.

TADA, we're done, so long farewell adieu adieu. It's been an interesting and fun expereience, I know that I like pictures on my blog, lol. It was cool to see how darned intelligent all you library folk are, and how much I need to learn, whew. My fave part was of course youtube, which I already had dabbled with. I liked flickr and the slogan thingy. I didn't see much point to tagging and really shoulda found a wallet for all my new passwords and username jive. All in all it was cool. I really am in need of a laptop, so I hope my lil name gets pulled..............much concentration going to the fishbowl. I am barely finishing this by the hair on my chinny chin chin, minus the hair. Bye Bye.

I don't like that I had to download quicktime to list to poetry podcast. Listened to LibVibe podcast on yahoo podcast--regarding a strike that was ongoing at a Vancouver library --quite interesting. The yahoo podcast was the best for ease of use I thought, not sure how to do the RSS feed thing. ( in fact I don't like how the RSS thing works, so I tried to use it, but to no avail-unuser friendly)
I read that yahoo is closing their podcasts, just the one I liked, go figure.

Downloadable books, I joined this in the Net Library in the beginning but was disappointed when I couldn't use my current mp3 to listen to burned discs. I didn't go out and buy a new player because the one I have works fine for my music. I do have the "Count of Monte Cristo," on my computer and haven't really found time to sit and listen to it yet.......but who knows. The concept of downloadable books is awesome though.
Overdrive was a bit easier to at least access, but I am not going to burn another coaster in order to listen to a book on cd--with an old mp3 player.

Wiki's, what strange titles they can come up with these days--and a wiki-farm......not quite sure I love the wiki revolution yet. It seems to be a great resource tool, but the fact that anyone can add or edit to the wiki is not good.

Book Lovers wiki was neat-and I don't use that word much. lol. I liked reading the 3 comments on the horror section--so underrated.

I really like looking up old articles from newspapers of the past! I checked out jobs and found them quite interesting. One of them stated help soldiers secure jobs. It is a nice resource and I am glad to know more about this!

Well I read through most of the Webjunction Resources and found the part about a "storied library" rather interesting. I would have to say our library has quite the story and involved water quite a bit. It seems ironic that water follows us no matter what around here. Marketing trends was interesting too. Task 5 & 6: Who knew flickr was associated with yahoo/I have always used a different type of program to upload and share photos. This will be yet another learning experience. I just got a a digital camera for an early b-day gift too-woopay. I do prefer photobucket to flickr, however. I will stick with what I am familiar with on this topic!
